A Year in Preview
Hello and welcome to the September post for Community Music School's student blog. This blog was created for the enjoyment and use of CMS students, parents and instructors. Throughout the year, photos, videos and music recordings will be uploaded from various CMS performances and events. This forum will also be used for student interviews, contests and information.
Next month, CMS will be showcasing their talents in the annual Monster Concert! It's on Saturday, October 26 from 12 – 3 pm. It is at the Barnes and Noble at the Promenade Shops in Saucon Valley. Also, a percentage of all sales made at Barnes and Noble on that day will benefit the school. If you can’t make it that day, shop on www.BN.com/bookfair using the voucher #11133378 between Oct. 26 – 31st and CMS will benefit! Check back after the concert for photos, videos and more.
The new student board is off and running and is already making improvements to Community Music School. We have
added two new performances, both at senior living facilities, to the CMS calendar with many more sure to follow. We also have a mentorship project in the works which may begin this spring.
As well as the Monster Concert, CMS will be hosting its annual Holiday Concert (Dec. 7), a Benefit Concert featuring voice teacher Ian Holmes on Nov. 10, and Silent Auction & Brunch Fundraiser in May, as well as many other student recitals.
